Our Advanced classes are designed for budding young actors aged 7- 16 years who want to further their skills in drama and performance, beyond their regular Light UP Company or Light UP Class or current drama training.

Our Advanced groups take part in extra opportunities and performance projects.

Each year our students have the opportunity to take an optional LAMDA exam, work with other Advanced groups to perform a challenging play at UP Studios, improve their acting and audition skills, and much much more.

Our members also benefit from an exclusive workshop with a professional visiting company, and have access to other information and audition opportunities through our closed Facebook group.

Cost breaks down to £7.00 per class for the general public, or £5 for Light UP members (to be paid every half term).

ADVANCED

Enrollment in our Advanced Classes comes with a few perks for our students, to ensure they benefit from the links we have with our professional theatre company Unexpected Places and are supported and guided to be the actors of tomorrow. In addition to the performance projects and working towards LAMDA exams in class our Advanced members receive these perks:

  • Families invited to a private Facebook group filled with audition notices, extra tips, show recommendations, links and support.

  • Invitation to annual theatre trip, with a group discount ticket.

  • A yearly all day workshop with a visiting professional or theatre company.

  • Students photo on Light UP website - showcasing our students.

  • Invitations to see Unexpected Places work, rehearsals and Q&A with cast and crew, where possible - to see the inner workings of a theatre company.

Our Advanced Classes are £5 for students already attending a Light UP class and £7.00 for those only attending an Advanced Class.
